December 22, 2008 - Ferro, Kuba, Mangano, Sklyar, P.C. Partners and Staff Sponsor Toy Drive for PRONTO Long Island

The staff of Ferro, Kuba, Mangano, Sklyar, P.C. (FKMS) helped out volunteers from PRONTO Long Island in distributing toys to Long Island’s families in need. The toys were collected over a one-week period at participating T-Mobile dealers and Compare Foods supermarkets throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Ferro Kuba, which sponsored the toy drive along with 1-800-Cantaso, helped raise more than $2,000 for the purchase of more toys in order to make it a brighter holiday season for more families and their children here on Long Island.

William Ferro, Managing Partner, Ferro, Kuba, Mangano, Sklyar, P.C.(right) presents a check to Frank Sinisi, President/Chairman, PRONTO Long Island (left), in the amount of $1,500 to PRONTO's Thanksgiving Food Drive at PRONTO's Bay Shore headquarters on November 13. The money will go to purchase 150-200 turkeys that will be distributed to Long Island's neediest families. Mr. Ferro and Mr. Sinisi are joined by PRONTO volunteers.

Mr. Sinisi thanked FKMS for their generosity. He also asked Long Islanders to give what they can this holiday season, as local food pantries are facing critical shortages in supplies this year. Because of the current economic climate, donations are way down, while more and more families are requesting assistance.

Mr. Ferro said he hopes that his law firm's donation will inspire other firms on Long Island to make similar donations to area food pantries. With the Thanksgiving season fast approaching, Mr. Ferro said that there is no reason why any family should go without food and not have a Thanksgiving dinner.
